Beanpod Candles
64What's the big deal with Beanpod Candles?
My girlfriend, Deena was raving about these Beanpod Candles that one of her girlfriends had given to her. She was talking about how good they smelld and such, and I know she likes all sorts of scented candles, but some of them just sit around collecting dust while she has her favorites.
Anyway, to hear her say anything about them at all was kind of strange to me. I might hear her say something about how some candle smells (usually about how bad it stinks) when we are in a store, but nothing ever like this.
After she lit one up, I could understand why she liked them so much. It made the place smell like a pundcake had just come out of the oven, and it kinda made me hungry. Wow.
She had pulled up the company website to see how much they cost and what other scents they offered. I took a look at the site, and leared a little about why these candles are special.
First, they are made by a company called Soy Basics, who not only make candles, but a range of other soy based products as well. They are located in Iowa, and make all of their products there. They seem to take a lot of pride in their work and it seems to show in the end product.
What makes these candles special is that they are made out of 100% soy wax. it seems as many of their competitors make their candles out of soy and paraffin blend and call them "soy candles." Their wicks are also lead free and they have a patented process of infusing the various fragrances in the candle so that the scented candle does not lose any of it's scent even when its about done burning.
Long story short, as much as Deena liked them, I'm sure they would make a great gift for any lady you know. (I'm sure my mom would love one too...) Deena even set up a page so you can find the best deals on them. Check out her Beanpod Candles page.
Another Idea for Candle Lovers
So you can tell that I am not that big into candles, but while looking at different info on these candles, I came across a book that shows how to make scented candles, where to get candle making supplies, and how to start your own home based business making all sorts of candles.
This struck me because there is a lady who lives nearby who started making candles in her kitchen a few years ago, and now ships them all over the U.S.A. selling them by the case and over eBay. A lot of local schools also sell them for fundraisers. She now has to hire people to help her and has a building that she works out of.
Just something to think about. Anyways, the book is Ultimate Guide To Making Candles at Home
Might just be worth having a look at...
