Complete CUBASE LE4 Video Tutorial Series for Beginners

By

Okay, so this came free with a soundcard. How do I use it?

Well, I actually got mine with a guitar effects pedal (DigitechRP255) but Steinberg Cubase LE4 ships with many soundcards like the Lexicon models, effects processors, and other usb and firewire recording interfaces.

This was the best set of tutorials that I used to get started.  Problem was that they are displayed in mixed order (and backwards) on youtube, and were mixed in with other tutorials.

What better place than hubpages to get them organized in a usable fashion...

Enjoy and leave a comment at the bottom....

Note:  I havent tried any of the features listed in the last two vids (im making backing tracks to jam with, not movie soundtracks :)  )

Also, this software is a basic LE edition that sometimes has HalionOne LE and sometimes it does not.

Anyways,

Goodbye,

and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks for the tutorial! Too many of the latest and greatest software expects everyone to have a degree in programming or software developement. If you're not really up on the newest recording techniques, you could be there reading for hours trying to remember 300 steps of setups just to even begin to hit the record button, not to mention the other 250 options and you haven't read the mix/cut/loop/open/erase/efx and whatever else. I previously purchased the "Lexicon" system by Cubase. After downloading about 1,100 pages, I realized that I was somewhere in the middle of an advanced engineering software class and I was still on page 1 in 101 and was totally lost. Hopefully, by this time, you haven't forgotten everything you learned to play or died just from knowing you have to read another 800 pages of efx setup pages. I know it isn't really that bad, ONCE YOU HAVE LEARNED IT, but, slashing your wrists in between does come to mind! Hats off to Cubase, it is a great system and has amazing options and features but, why can't someone make a very simple software program that is really simple/basic and really doesn't have to have the $100,000 dollar studio features but just get the job done? N0 disrespect to Cubase, to those users that can grand slam with it, wonderful. For the rest of us, it can be very difficult. Thanks for the great video and explanations, well done! I feel that recording with this could be an option.
